Accelerate CIC is hosting a free event for commissioners, clinicians and patients. Their ethos is to inspire change together in order to move patients from illness to wellness. The focus of the day is to see how their model of partnership working can change outcomes for patients who have complex wounds or unmanaged swelling.
The event is being held on Thursday 24th September at Head Office, Block 1, Mile End Hospital, Bancroft Road and key speeches will start at 16.15, with the following speakers confirmed:
- Sir Sam Everington, GP Chair of Tower Hamlets CCG, BMA Council Member and Board Trustee of The King’s Fund
- Professor Keith Harding CBE, FRCGP, Director of the Welsh Wound Innovation Centre and Head of Wound Healing Research Unit at Cardiff University
- Ms Karen Friett, CEO Lymphoedema Support Network
Throughout the course of the day there will be various clinical demonstrations, a programme of presentations, and stalls, including the Patient Voices Group and hear from the staff involved in the Dressings Optimisations Scheme.
