The Pressure Area Care and Patient Handling project is looking at options available across the NHS system to procure products and services for Pressure Area Care and Patient handling equipment. The scope of the project includes beds, mattresses, pressure relieving products and patient moving and handling equipment.
The NHS Supply Chain: Rehabilitation, Disabled Services, Women’s Health and Associated Consumables would like to invite you to take part in these surveys to inform on what qualities you require to deliver effective patient care.
The products being reviewed within this process include beds and accessories such as standard electronic profiling beds, low profiling / cots / paediatric and bariatric (plus size) plus accessories and also mattresses including foam, non powered re-distributing mattresses, dynamic pressure relieving air mattresses and overlays, cushions, pressure relieving chairs and prevention and supporting aids such as bootees. The team also want to review rental and decontamination requirements.
