NIHR and MRC new funding opportunities

The Medical Research Council’s (MRC) and National Institute for Health Research’s (NIHR) Efficacy and Mechanism Evaluation (EME) Programme currently has new funding opportunities for research that may be of interest to TVS members and their colleagues.

The EME Programme funds clinical efficacy studies. The studies they support usually test if an intervention works as expected in a well-defined population or group of patients. The Programme also provides an opportunity to use clinical studies to understand disease or treatment mechanisms, which may in turn lead to improvements in health and patient care. Currently the EME Programme is accepting applications to its commissioned work stream for, among other topics, wound healing.

The deadline for applications is 1pm, 7 October 2014. To learn more about this call, you can also register for a webinar on wound healing on July 25th 10:00–10:45am.

An application form and guidance notes are available on our website http://www.nets.nihr.ac.uk/funding/eme-commissioned.

Please do contact the EME programme via info@eme.ac.uk or by telephone on 023 8059 4303 if you need anything further.
