Background

John D Ivory is a PhD student at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Galway, Ireland, and his area of interest is diagnosis of biofilm in chronic wounds. John has completed a comprehensive scoping review of the literature to derive a list of signs and symptoms currently reported to be indicative of biofilm in chronic wounds

Description

He has generated a list of signs and symptoms based on the results of the scoping review, and is now asking for your expert opinion to refine it further via a 2-round electronic Delphi survey in which you will be asked to rate each sign/symptom along a 9-point Likert scale ranging from ‘not likely’ to ‘highly likely’ to be indicative of biofilm in chronic wounds.

The results of this survey will be validated against a gold standard biopsy taken from consenting persons with diabetic foot ulceration in the clinical phase of my PhD project.
