Overview
The 35th Conference of the European Wound Management Association (EWMA) will take place 26-28 March 2025 in Barcelona, Spain.
The conference is organised in cooperation with GNEAUPP, the Spanish Advisory Group for the Study of Pressure Ulcers and Chronic Wounds, and in collaboration with SEHER, the Spanish Wounds Society.
This year’s conference theme is ‘Moving towards excellence in wound management by breaking frontiers and silos’.

We are delighted to offer 2 funded places to Society members to the EWMA 2025 conference.

Terms and conditions
- Society of Tissue Viability Conference funded places are available to Society of Tissue Viability members who are practicing UK healthcare professionals
- Priority is given to practising healthcare professionals or researchers in the field of tissue viability who have had an abstract accepted by the EWMA conference
- If your primary role is working in industry, you are not eligible for any of our funded place or travel and accommodation bursary opportunities
- The amount granted is non-negotiable and is to be used towards conference registration, travel and accommodation only. The grant is non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged into monetary value or similar
- Interested applicants must submit a completed application form by the specified deadline. Applications will be reviewed by the selection committee, and successful candidates will be notified via email
- Recipients of funded places are required to attend the conference in its entirety. Failure to attend without prior notification may result in ineligibility for future funding opportunities
- Bursary recipients are required to submit a brief daily blog on their conference experience, which may be used for promotional purposes or to improve future events. Failure to do this may result in ineligibility for future funding opportunities
- In the event of the bursary recipient cancelling, they must inform the Society of Tissue Viability as soon as possible at support@societyoftissueviability.org. Refunds for any pre-paid expenses will be subject to the Society’s cancellation policy
- The Society of Tissue Viability reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Bursary recipients will be notified of any significant changes
