Samantha’s story
I joined the SoTV as a member and was a co-opted Trustee within 3 months!
Meet Samantha, a Senior Physiotherapist (Team Leader) working in Critical Care
Why she joined the Society of Tissue Viability
I initially applied to become a Co-opted Trustee to gain more information about being involved within the Society as an Allied Health Professional (AHP). I found it quite a daunting prospect but a really great way of building relationships. I must admit I felt like I had the biggest case of imposter syndrome due to the wealth of experience and knowledge surrounding me.
Becoming a trustee
Since then, I applied to become a Trustee and am now involved in the Strategy group and lead the Active Associates group for interested members to get involved with projects and help shape the future of the Society.
What’s it like being a trustee?
I have felt truly welcomed into the Society and there are so many opportunities out there!
