Stop the Pressure 2023
Pressure ulcers are a concerning and largely avoidable harm associated with healthcare delivery (NHS Improvement, 2018)
STOP the Pressure
The Society collaborated with The National Wound Care Strategy Programme (NWCSP) and all #4nations for STOP the Pressure week with representatives from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. You can browse some of the fantastic content we created. For 2023 our theme was ‘Every Contact Counts’ which will continue through to 2024 with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
‘Every contact counts’
- Every contact with a clinician, healthcare professional or carer can help prevent pressure ulcers
- Every contact with a bed, chair or other surface can help prevent pressure ulcers
- Every contact with leaders in healthcare can help prevent pressure ulcers
- Every contact on social media or traditional media can help prevent pressure ulcers
