A pioneering campaign to eliminate avoidable pressure ulcers in acute, community and mental health provider settings.
Pressure ulcers are an avoidable and costly harm. That’s why we got involved in the NHS Stop the Pressure programme.
Stop The Pressure aims to create a significant culture shift and eliminate avoidable pressure ulcers in acute, community and mental health provider settings.
Our involvement in the campaign
We play a vital role in giving professionals the resources and support they need to champion this campaign. We undertake a variety of activities to support healthcare professionals. We host a series of free webinars with expert speakers leading informative sessions, put together training sessions that you can run in your organisation, produce grab packs and develop graphics and posters which can be adapted locally.
You can get involved by:
- Hosting educational activities on prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers
- Organising awareness raising events to share information about pressure ulcers
- Reaching out to your local community to inform them about pressure ulcers
- Contacting policy makers to make them aware of pressure ulcers
