Professor Declan Patton, who is based at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, within the Skin Wounds and Trauma Research Centre, appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Tissue Viability

On behalf of the Society of Tissue Viability and the Publisher, we would like to inform you that the current Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Tissue Viability, Professor Dan Bader, is standing down from this role on 1st June 2022. We would like to thank Professor Bader for his hard work and immense efforts over the past eleven years. Under his leadership, Journal of Tissue Viability obtained its first impact factor of 1.176 in 2012 and since then it has seen a gradual increase to the 2021 impact factor of 2.932. The journal has also almost quadrupled in size in terms of articles published under Professor Bader’s editorship, a testament to how he has been able to position Journal of Tissue Viability as a key resource to the community. We are pleased that Professor Bader will remain associated with the journal as Emeritus Editor.

We are delighted to further inform you that as of 1st June 2022, the new Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Tissue Viability will be Professor Declan Patton, who is based at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, within the Skin Wounds and Trauma Research Centre. We wish Professor Patton every success in this new position.
