For 2025, we are delighted to offer industry the opportunity to support our hands-on workshops at our annual conference
Working with our Corporate Partners to share knowledge and ideas is another way we can build a community of people who are passionate about skin health and wound healing. In addition to all of the lectures, debates and discussions, this year we are running a series of interactive, hands-on workshops. The workshops proved extremely popular in 2023, with many being fully booked with waiting lists!

Overview of each workshop
Through simulating a real patient case with live wound moulage, this session will demonstrate assessment and wound bed preparation working through the T.I.M.E. framework
Aims
This workshop is suitable for clinicians from all healthcare settings that are involved in the assessment of wounds and wound care planning. This is a fundamentals session for clinicians new to wound care or those that would like a refresher on the assessment principles using latest best practice and guidance.
- To increase confidence in the principles of wound assessment following observation of a live demonstration using wound moulage.
- To improve understanding of the benefits of a structured approach to assessment to facilitate using the T.I.M.E. framework to facilitate appropriate wound interventions and selection of the right dressing at the right time.
- To have the opportunity to interact with industry partners and learn how their solutions can meet your clinical objectives following the T.I.M.E. framework.

Tips and tricks with Negative Pressure Wound Therapy – getting your confidence back
Aims
This workshop is aimed at healthcare professionals who currently use NPWT in their practice to increase confidence in decision-making and troubleshooting common practical challenges.
- To review the mechanisms of action and the therapeutic goals for Negative Pressure Wound Therapy for open and closed wounds.
- To be confident in decision-making of initiating NWPT and also to recognise when to discontinue therapy to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- To have hands-on practice using a range of NPWT devices and disposables, and to discuss common challenges when using NPWT in clinical practice.

Managing the foot and toes, a whole leg approach
Aims
This workshop is aimed at healthcare professionals who currently apply compression in their practice wanting to increase their awareness of the importance of a whole leg approach.
- To understand how proactive management using compression therapy for the foot and toes can prevent problems: the use of toe garments to prevent swelling.
- To dispel myths about compression on the foot: how to compress a swollen foot and how to encase a fragile one.
- To increase awareness of managing wet or swollen feet and toes: when to appropriately use toe bandaging and/or foot stumping safely.

What’s included?
- To help facilitate the workshops, it is essential that your Clinical Nurse Specialist is available on both days to support the lead presenters and play an active part in the session. You can also invite an additional 1/2 company representatives to attend – there will be plenty of opportunity to chat with the delegates
- You will have the opportunity to provide your products for use in the hands-on demonstrations – details of which will be discussed with you
- You can have a table-top exhibition area in the room with one banner stand, literature, samples or promotional items for delegates
- If you sponsor a workshop there will be a pre-conference meeting with the session leader and other trustees to finalise details and make sure that everything runs smoothly for you
What’s not included
- The programme for each of the workshops has already been developed and approved by the SoTV Trustees and an online pre-conference meeting will be arranged with your CNS to share the content and run through how this will work, answer any questions etc
- The presenters will not promote the use of a particular brand or product – they will remain independent and unbiased
Cost
Costs are based on supporting the workshops on both days
- LIVE Wound moulage, assessment and wound bed preparation using the T.I.M.E CDST tool – £750 – SOLD OUT each slot relates to one particular area of T.I.M.E. T – Tissue, I – Infection or inflammation, M – Moisture balance and E – Edges of the wound or epithelial advancement. Please ensure you state which area you wish to support
- Tips and Tricks with Negative Pressure Wound Therapy – getting your confidence back – £950 – 2 booked – 1 Available
- Managing the foot and toes, a whole leg approach – £950 – 2 booked – 1 Available
Terms & conditions
- Payment – an invoice will be issued on receipt of the booking form and payment is due 30 days from the date of the invoice
- Cancellation – If, at any time after booking a workshop, the sponsor cancels, the following costs will be incurred:
- 3 months prior to the event, the organiser will refund 50% of the total cost
- If cancellation occurs within one month of the start of the event, no refund will be given
