Diana Matthews
Diana Matthews works as an Advanced Oncology Pharmacist and Urology NMP at Velindre Cancer Centre in Southeast Wales. She is also one of the Lead SACT Pharmacists for the Wales Cancer Network.
She was born in Portugal, where she completed her degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Porto in 2006. She then came to the UK in 2008 and eventually started to work as a diploma pharmacist at the Whittington Hospital in North London. After finishing her Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy, she started working at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. Almost 4 years later, she moved to St George’s Hospital, also in London, where she completed her NMP in Prostate Cancer. The circle was closed when she returned to the Whittington Hospital as their Lead Pharmacist for Cancer Services.
In 2019, Diana and her family relocated to Wales, and at the beginning of 2020 she started her current role at Velindre Cancer Centre, where she is currently doing her Advanced Health Care Practitioner at Cardiff University. Since the beginning of the year, she has also become one of the Lead SACT Pharmacists for the Wales Cancer Network.
