Maleeha Mughal
Maleeha specialises in Breast cancer reconstruction, head and neck cancer reconstruction and lymphoedma surgery.
Maleeha completed her plastic surgery training in two renowned Plastic surgery rotations in Leeds and the Panthames rotation in London. Following her basic plastic surgery training she spent a year in Canada specialising in complex microvascular reconstruction working at Toronto general hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Her interest in cancer traetment led to training in supermicrosurgery procedures for management of cancer related lymphoedema. Following this she completed a microsurgical fellowship at Guy’s & St.Thomas hospital that encompassed complex soft tissue reconstruction of the chest wall, abdomen and perineum. She completed her training by being awarded the prestigious London Clinic Aesthetic surgery Fellowship.
Her Practice involves econstruction of the breast, head and neck cancer reconstruction. Body contouring procedures including abdominoplasty, brachioplasty, breast uplift, augmentation and reductionand thigh lifts.Miss Mughal also offers non surgical and surgical facial rejuvenation procedures.
Throughout her career Miss Mughal has been involved in clinical research and has published over 40 articles in peer reviewed journals. She is the author of several book chapters inclduing in the Oxford Textbook of Plastic Surgery. Maleeha has a keen interest in training and teaching and is currently the Royal College of Surgeons Surgical Tutor for the trust and is a faculty member of various surgical skills courses and the FRCS specialty exam course.
