Maureen Bates
Maureen Bates is the Podiatry Manager of the Mike Edmonds Foot Unit at King’s College Hospital (formerly known as the Diabetic Foot Clinic) and has led the team for almost 20 years.
In her role, she has been instrumental in the initiation, management and delivery of many service development projects, research studies and teaching courses. She is frequently invited to lecture nationally and internationally at multi-disciplinary conferences and societies. Maureen has developed a teaching course in casting techniques and deliver training nationally and internationally. This course is aimed to upskill allied health care professionals, nurses and doctors in offloading techniques for prevention of lower limb amputation due to foot ulcer and or foot deformity
