Ross Joannides

Ross Joannides - Deputy Director of Nursing for Barchester Healthcare

Ross is a registered nurse who has been qualified for over 30 years and is passionate about the safety and wellbeing of his residents.

Throughout his career he has worked within industry and healthcare specializing in product design and clinical outcomes whilst ensuring safety and regulatory issues are adhered to.

His work within industry and healthcare has led him towards the safe working practices of bed design and the practical application of bed rails. His personal drive and passion is to ensure that the bed frame and its environment remains a place of safety. He has been heavily involved in ensuring compliancy with bed rail regulations and was clinical lead for numerous Integrated Community Equipment Services (ICES) tenders whilst working for Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust.

He has presented at numerous events, Ross presented in Milan at the European Wound Management conference, has previously presented at Wounds UK and numerous times at National Association of Equipment Providers (NAEP). Has presented 4 poster presentations. He has published articles based around medical devices and their impact on residents.
