Background
The Society of Tissue Viability recognises the outstanding work being done across the UK in skin health & wound healing, despite the challenges faced within both health and social care systems. We therefore wish to acknowledge the contributions of individuals or teams who have made a significant impact to improving patient care.
We also acknowledge the collective responsibility we share in considering the environmental impact of the services we provide. Therefore, we aim to recognise those who go above and beyond in advancing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals within the field of wound care.
These awards celebrate these exceptional people.
Please note: These awards are open to any healthcare professional who are working and residing in the UK and you can nominate yourself, an individual or a whole team!
Rising Star Award
The Rising Star Award recognises individuals who have demonstrated exceptional promise, dedication, and performance in skin health and wound healing. Candidates for this award should meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrated Achievement: The nominee should have a track record of noteworthy accomplishments within their role.
- Positive impact: The nominee should exhibit innovative thinking and creativity in their work, contributing fresh ideas or approaches that have impacted patients, carers, teams or organisations.
- Engagement and Enthusiasm: The nominee should exhibit a high level of engagement and enthusiasm for their work, contributing to a productive workplace culture and positive care delivery.
Together we achieve award
This award recognises outstanding contributions and promotes a culture of collaboration and excellence in wound care practices across healthcare disciplines. Candidates for this award should meet the following criteria:
- Collaborative working: Evidence of effective collaboration among professionals from different disciplines to improve patient outcomes in wound care.
- Enhanced Communication: Evidence of how enhanced communication has positively impacted person-centred care.
Going Green in wound healing award
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), established by the United Nations in 2015, encompass a broad range of global challenges, including health and well-being. Wound care plays an important role in several of the SDGs. This award recognises the contribution an individual or team has made to address the environmental challenges in wound care while maintaining efficacy, affordability, and accessibility.
Evidence of improvements in environmental impact could include a reduced carbon footprint through greener travel solutions, improving accessibility to services or decreased waste in wound care practices.
