In healthcare, pressure ulcer prevention should be everyone’s business – Irrespective of your role, it matters because it’s about patient safety, quality of care, patient dignity and doing what’s right for those who we care for.
This years Stop the Pressure theme is ‘What matters to me’, and in collaboration with NHS England, this study day includes presentations from experienced speakers working in a range of healthcare settings who will share why pressure ulcer prevention and management matters to them.
The study day will combine perspectives from a range of clinical settings, together with opportunities for reflecting on one’s own practice and why patient centred pressure ulcer prevention matters to you.
Who’s the Pressure ulcer prevention and management: What matters to me? study day suitable for?
This study day is aimed anyone working in a health care setting who has an interest in pressure ulcer prevention or those who work directly with patients at risk of developing pressure ulcers. This includes nurses and AHPs from both community and hospital settings, nursing homes and palliative care/ hospices, podiatrists, governance/ patient safety leads, healthcare students, educators, academics or researchers.
